Since January 2005, according to the new regulations of the Home Office only overseas students will be allowed to enter or remain in UK as a student to attend a course in a private learning school, which are registered under the Department for Education and Skills (DfES).

DfES provides registration to only those private-learning providers, who are genuine training providers in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. This list is provided to the Home Office in order to minimise Immigration abuse in the Educational field.
